Quickstart: a working demo in 10 minutes
The starter is a small tasks app with everything Trylane needs already in place. Run it once to see the whole flow, then copy its patterns into your product.
npm create trylane-demo@latest my-demo
cd my-demo && npm install
cp .env.example .env
npm run db
npm run dev # terminal 1
npm run agent # terminal 2
npm run doctor1. Add a product
In your workspace, add a product with http://127.0.0.1:3200 as the demo URL. Copy the project key it shows once.
2. Create and start the starter
Run npm create trylane-demo@latest my-demo, then npm install. Copy .env.example to .env and fill in TRYLANE_URL, TRYLANE_PROJECT_KEY and COOKIE_SECRET. npm run db starts a local PostgreSQL in Docker; npm run dev starts the app and npm run agent the agent.
3. Check it
npm run doctor checks the visitor role, row-level security, seeding, isolation between visitors, Keep export and cleanup against your database, and checks Trylane accepts your agent. Every failure comes with the fix.
4. Publish
On the product page, wait for Agent connected, choose Team tasks and publish. Open your demo link: you get your own workspace of sample tasks.
See every step from the visitor’s side.
